Summer hair styles

So it was time to get out the clippers and do the boys hair again...

I thought I should make record of the first time one of our children has tried to cut his own hair. I got to him before he did too much, but as you can see he managed to put a lovely strip down the middle of his head. He also has a big bruise on his head and you will notice that Tristan does too. For the record, Tim was watching them when both of these occured!:)

For Tristan I thought it would be fun to do something a little edgy. Might as well do these kinds of styles while he's little and it's cute right? In these first two pictures I had left the mohawk a little long, but Tim said he wouldn't take him anywhere like that so I cut it shorter. I think I did a good job (if it looks uneven it's just because his hair has two cowlicks and stick out all crazy!) and I think it's kind of cute!

Now for Caleb, I did not and will not cut his hair (at least for a while) because just look at these adorable babyish curls! I also wanted to show my mom what his hair is looking like because I think mine looked alot like this when I was little. Correct me if I'm wrong, Mom:)

Ok, can I just say that I totally love the longer mohawk on Tristan! I don't know what Tim is thinking - I would personally take my son everywhere with this hairstyle - it is very cool and Hollywood babyish. And Sean - well, that could be turned into a reverse mohawk perhaps!

Cute mohawk! My cousin (actually my dad's cousin's daughter if you can follow that one...!) married an Amish guy and they have the cutest baby. He got an authentic Amish bowl cut from his Amish grandma (can't figure out how she got him to sit still long enough to shave the back of his head with a razor!) and his parents were horrified so they took him to a barber and now he's got the cutest little mohawk.
Yeah, leave the curls. They're so cute!
